The Abel Prize award ceremony

The Abel Prize Award Ceremony will take place 21. May 2024 in the University Aula in Oslo.

Practical information
The Abel Prize is awarded by a representative from The Royal House of Norway, thus the audience is asked to be seated by 13.30. The profound award ceremony starts precisely 14.00.

All of our guests are asked to bring valid ID.

Monday 20. May
5 PM: Wreath-laying ceremony at the Abel monument. Abelhaugen in the Palace Park, Oslo. Open for the public

Tuesday 21. May
2 PM: Prize ceremony in the University Aula. Universitetsplassen, Karl Johans gate, Oslo.
